The Great Bath was the centre the bathingcomplex. It was fed with hot water directly from the Sacred Spring . The bath was 1.6 metres deep and has steps to let people walk in.

A large flat slab of stone is set across the point where hot water flows into the bath. It is known today as the diving stone.

The bath was originally had a wood roof, but this was replaced with a much heavier ceramic roof that required concrete pillars to support it.

There was a fountain feature fed by its own pipe from the Sacred Spring. At some point this was replaced with a smaller  fountain.

The Romans used Lead to make their pipes. They used a piece of lead and wound it around to make a pipe.
